If you want to avoid stains you have to make sure that you are taking the time that you need to be smart about the way that your teeth are exposed. You should not be eating or drinking things that are going to have a major effect on your ability to keep your teeth white.

You want to make sure that you take the time that you need to understand how you will avoid smoking, drinking coffee and even drinking soda. If you are going to be drinking something that may stain your teeth you should try to drink it out of a straw.

When you drink it out of a straw you will have a much better ability to keep it off of your teeth. If you can keep it off of your teeth you will be able to make sure that your teeth do not get stained throughout your meal or while you are drinking.

Even when you are taking time to learn how to avoid stains you will also want to make sure that you learn how you are going to avoid decay. You want to make sure that you take time to minimize the amount of corrosive and acidic material your teeth are exposed to.

When you are trying to do this, you may have to make some changes in the way that you eat. Some people are used to drinking sugary sodas every day or even used to eating candy on a regular basis, and you will have to change those habits.

Second, it is important that you learn how you are going to care for your teeth through maintenance. You have to take the time that you need to learn how you are going to scrub the plaque off of your teeth throughout the day.

When you are done eating you want to try to take the time that you can to scrub off all of the debris from eating. This way, you can be sure that the debris is not sitting on your teeth and exposing your teeth to more decay.

You have to make sure that you take the time that you need to floss your teeth as well. When you are flossing your teeth you have to be wise about the way that you floss so that you can keep your gums healthy rather than hurting them more.
